Immigrant Hope
As a grassroots facilitator of church-based legal aid for immigrants, Immigrant Hope needed a refresh that would make a statement.
The aim was to provide an accessible, responsive, and engaging experience that evoked trust, competence, and real help.
While immigration is routinely reduced to an issue, this design needed a clear focus on people. But without a lot of high quality stock, I took to creating some evocative designs. I used a secondary pattern from a US Visa as a backdrop to several people engaged in very human emotion—a mother with her baby, a couple hugging, and women laughing.
I designed a round of mockups in Adobe XD, prototyped it with HTML/CSS, then got to work theming it in WordPress.
